Milk & Cookies VII kept it real and crowned Nina Brown’s Chocolate Chip Cookies it’s ungendered monarch, and winner of the things that we give. So, when we got in contact with Nina to beg for the recipie, we should have realised that things were not going to be that easy. Milk and Cookies V saw eleven delicious Bake-Off entries, everything from cookies to cream sponge, to rice crispy cakes. There were no complaints from the three judges as they tasted this month’s mouthwatering set of entries with the help of Milk and Cookies team member Niamh McManus. The first Milk and Cookies Bake-Off ever, and though entries were a little thin on the ground, forcing organisers to enter their own competition, fun was had by all! Judging by three judges (chosen randomly from the audience) was overseen by Ross Golden-Bannon, editor of Food and Wine Magazine. After a rigorous judging procedure, a very embarrassed Sarah Quigley, co-founder of Milk and Cookie Stories, was announced the winner of the competition. Of course, she gave her prize to the best cookie from a non-organiser, Niamh Ryan.

The first Milk and Cookies Bake-Off ever was so much fun for all involved, bakers, judges and the lucky people who got to eat all the delicious cookies that were contributed by the generous and skilled bakers in the audience.  Judging by three judges (chosen randomly from the audience) was overseen by Ross Golden-Bannon, editor of Food and Wine Magazine… who guided the judges through a rigorous judging procedure based on taste, texture, scent, presentation and more. It was quite a sight to see them huddling over the cookie table, deliberating seriously over each and every entry!
